Georgia Center for Female Health features a staff of two highly trained female physicians, each with an expertise in obstetrics and gynecology and specialized training in skin rejuvenation. Together, Dr. Stewart and Dr. Pottinger-Pickens offer a superior level of treatment and service—integrating state-of-the-art techniques with proven traditional methods of treatment. Most importantly, our physicians genuinely listen to your concerns, understand, and provide personalize care for your specific needs. The physicians of Georgia Center for Female Health are committed to providing you with the best in female health care.

Lynette Stewart, MD, FACOG

Lynette Stewart, MD, FACOGLynette Stewart, MD, FACOG is the Owner and CEO of Georgia Center for Female Health. She has been a physician for 24 years and a Board-Certified OB/GYN practitioner for nearly 20 years. Dr. Stewart graduated summa cum laude (highest honors) from Tuskegee University. She earned her Medical Degree from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Stewart completed her Residency at Catholic Medical Centers, a major teaching hospital of Cornell University in New York City.
 
Before relocating to Atlanta, Georgia in 1995, Dr. Stewart served as Chief of the OB/GYN Department of the hospital where she practiced in Tennessee. Dr. Stewart has served in several administrative capacities including Head of the Gwinnett County Rape Crisis Center. She was elected to the highest medical board in the state, the Georgia Composite State Board of Medical Examiners, an organization that oversees and administers medical licenses for the State of Georgia. 
 
Dr. Stewart is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Stewart has conducted research in obstetrics, molecular biology, and biochemistry. Dr. Stewart has a special interest in aesthetics and skin care, and developed a skin care line presented at Eos The Medical Spa.
 
Dr. Stewart is married to otolaryngologist Dr. Fermin Stewart. They have three children, Samantha, Alejandro, and Silva. Dr. Stewart enjoys ballet, modern dance, and Caribbean dance.

Beverly Pottinger-Pickens, DO

Beverly Pottinger-Pickens, DOBeverly Pottinger-Pickens, DO is a Board-Eligible Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with specialized training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has been a physician for 8 years and OB/GYN practitioner for 4 years. Dr. Pottinger-Pickens earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Miami, FL and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Western University of the Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific from Pomona, CA. She completed a Rotating AOA Internship at Florida Hospital East Orlando in Florida and Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Training Program at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA.
 
Dr. Pottinger-Pickens received numerous awards while completing her studies, including the Chief Resident Award for Dedication, Leadership, and Commitment to the Morehouse School of Medicine Department of OB/GYN, Nelson McGhee Service and Humanism Award, Berlex Laboratories Best Teaching Resident Award at the Morehouse School of Medicine, Most Outstanding Intern at the Morehouse School of Medicine, Dr. Alex Rene Memorial Award for the Osteopathic Physician who Exhibits Humanistic and Caring Qualities both as a student and future physician at the Western University of Health Sciences, and Dr. Muriel Chapman Award, presented to a female who Exhibits the Humanistic and Caring Qualities of a Dedicated Physician. 

Dr. Pottinger-Pickens is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Osteopathic Association, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the Georgia Osteopathic Association. She speaks both English and Spanish.

Mercedes C. Arancibia, RNC, BS, OB/GYN NP

Mercedes C. Arancibia, RNC, BS, OB/GYN NPMercedes C. Arancibia, RNC, BS, OB/GYN NP is a Licensed OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner with specialty certification in Obstetrics, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree with a Specialty in Midwifery from the University of Chile in Valparaiso, Chile. She completed the OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner Program at the Emory University Regional Training Center in Atlanta, GA. 

Mercedes is bilingual and speaks both English and Spanish. She has a special interest in Hispanic Culture and its implication regarding healthcare needs.
