Medicaid Reimbursement Specialist II: Medical Billing/Collections Department

We are currently seeking a medical billing professional who is experienced in all aspects of medical billing, collections and familiar with ICD9 and CPT4 coding in OB/GYN. Multiple positions are available in Decatur, and Metro Atlanta area.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the billing, claims, and collections for each medical account
  • Researching denied claims and resolution
  • Following up on missing information
  • Cash Posting experience (5 years experience)
  • Experience working in large billing groups doing payments/credits/some refunds
  • Experience with billing and collections
  • Dealing with Multiple clinics in multiple
  • Must have electronic posting experience
  • Accuracy is extremely important
  • Training provided on billing software system
  • Must have experience with managed care contracts
  • Government experience is a big plus (medicare/medicad)
  • Georgia Medicaid experience is required 
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Verify accuracy of contracts to ensure correct payments and billing to insurance companies, etc.
  • Must be outgoing and extroverted
  • Must have experience in the revenue cycle: A/R, collections, verify insurance, collections, claims processing, etc.
  • Need a person with a minimum of 3 years experience in OB/GYN for large doctor/physicians groups.
  • They are a high volume environment with high productivity standards requiring sitting at your desk multitasking.
  • Must come from an environment where they have to prioritize (they have 4 hours to process an order once in comes in).

Front Desk Medical Office Assistant (Bilingual)

Job Description: 

A premier OB/GYN  specialty practice in Norcross/Decatur , is in need of a Full-Time, Front Desk Medical Office Assistant for their busy practice. This is an excellent, permanent opportunity in a supportive, progressive medical environment. You must be detail oriented, with the ability to handle multiple duties at once, along with a professional presentation.

Job Requirements:

Fluent in Spanish and English including medical terminology in Spanish.
The successful candidate MUST have previous front desk experience in a medical office, along with a polished, personable and professional presentation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting patients and answering busy multi-phone lines
  • Patient check in /check out and processing paperwork
  • Collecting patient co-pays and schedule follow up appointments
  • Entering billing information and other paperwork
  • Various transcription support.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, all medicaid plans in Georgia as well as commercial insurance
  • EMR experience preferred.

Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant

Summary: Provides direct patient care in the clinic by performing focused patient assessments. Collects additional assessment data or initiates treatments based on findings. Facilitates prompt disposition of physician orders including lab results, treatments, reports, diagnostic tests, and administration of medications. Assist physician with examination, in-office procedures, minor surgical procedures.Additionally provides patient care via the telephone through patient assessment and communicates the plan of care based on physician orders or established protocols.

Minimum Qualifications: Register of Certified Medical Assistant. Previous experience in an OB/GYN setting preferred. Previous experience with and/or ability to learn and utilize computerized patient care management applications.
